Naming and delivery ceremony for SNo.720, 630,000cft type refrigerated cargo carrier was held at our Kawaragi Pier No.1 B/C.

Nissen Kaiun Singapore Pte., Ltd. ordered S-720, 630,000cft type refrigerated cargo carrier, named “COTE D IVOIRE EXPRESS” and safely delivered to the owner on October 4, 2024. The vessel sailed out to Tokyo for bunkering. After that, the vessel bounds for Cote D Ivoire via Singapore and Cape of Good Hope. We believe the vessel will contribute the fruits and vegetable trades such as banana, etc between Europe and West Africa. The other series of vessels will be provided the West African country names for their trading pattern.

We, shipyard would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Japanese owner from Singapore, the European charterers from Paris, France and other relatives from Ehime, Tokyo for coming to Hachinohe. Also, the mayor of Abidjan Cocody City, Mr. Jean-Marc Yace family is attended for the ceremony this time.

The vessel ‘COTE D IVOIRE EXPRESS’ is the second ship in the 630,000 CFT-type refrigerated cargo ship project. It is equipped with the latest CA (Controlled Atmosphere) system to manage oxygen levels within the cargo hold, as well as a scrubber for SOx reduction measures. For NOx-Tier 3 compliance, the main engine features EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) while the auxiliary engines are fitted with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), resulting in an advanced vessel with a redesigned layout from the engine room to the funnel. On deck, the number of reefer containers that can be loaded has been increased compared to previous designs, and the ship is equipped with four hydraulic cranes—two with a 40-ton capacity and two with an 8-ton capacity—enabling swift cargo handling even in ports with limited facilities.

We, shipyard hope M/V “COTE D IVOIRE EXPRESS” will be a treasured vessel for all concerned parties under the current positive maritime markets. We will keep continue to make efforts to provide high-quality merchant vessels for owners and global operators.
