LEPTA SHIPPING CO., LTD. ordered S-711, 40,000DWT type bulk carrier, named “KANAGI RIVER” and safely delivered to the owner on July 12, 2024. The vessel sailed out for Wakayama to load the first cargoes at there. The Kanagi River is one of the local river flows through Goshogawara city in Aomori prefecture and all yard employees completed the vessel with familiarity.
The ceremony was held under the perfect sunny day in summer. We, shipyard would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Japanese owner and charterers for coming from Denmark, Germany, Hongkong, Ehime, and Tokyo to Hachinohe.
M/V “KANAGI RIVER” is the seventh vessel in series of 40,000DWT type bulk carriers project and is equipped with SOx scrubber for environmental friendliness, and is a state-of-the-art vessel equipped with M0 that satisfies Phase 3 of the new ship fuel consumption regulations (EEDI regulations). Furthermore, the log stanchions are installed at both side of the deck and are characterized by wide range capability for various cargoes. After Wakayama, the vesel will bound for Chile, South America via Singapore bunkering that is so long voyage over 40 days.
We, shipyard hope M/V “KANAGI RIVER” will be a treasured vessel for all concerned parties under the current positive maritime markets. We will keep continue to make efforts to provide high-quality merchant vessels for owners and operators.
